Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of this role is to modernize and implement devops methodologies with the goal of fully shifting from a hybrid on-premises and cloud organization today to a fully cloud-centric organization with devsecops, data ops, automated delivery via CICD, test data management and automated preventive controls.
- Collaborating with co-workers to conceptualize, develop, and release software
- Conducting quality assurance to ensure that the software meets prescribed guidelines
- Rolling out fixes and upgrades to software, as needed
- Securing software to prevent security breaches and other vulnerabilities
- Collecting and reviewing customers’ feedback to enhance user experience
- Suggesting alterations to workflow to improve efficiency and success
- Pitching ideas for projects based on gaps in the market and technological advancements
Skills/Experience
- Several years experience with large-scale, business-critical linux-based environments
- Experience operating within the cloud, preferably Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Kubernetes or similar containerization experience
- Working with CI/CD, jenkins (pipelines), git, bitbucket
- Bash, python
- Chef / ansible
